Circuit Court: Charges land Yates in jail for 120 days

Ten people were sentenced Wednesday by Judge Bart Stanley in Circuit Court criminal division.

Included in circuit sentencings:

  • Jimmy Yates was directed to serve 120 days of a five-year sentence and make restitution for aggravated burglary, theft and fraudulent use of a credit card.
  • Jeremy W. Pack was given a two-year sentence and must pay $1,000 plus costs for attempt to manufacture meth.
  • Johnny Brooks was instructed to serve 10 days of an 11-29 sentence, pay $250 plus costs and forfeit his driver?s license for two years for second-offense driving on a revoked license.
  • Angela Curtis was ordered to serve 45 days of an 11-29 sentence, pay $600 plus costs and forfeit her driver?s license for two years for second-offense DUI.
  • Rodney Kirby was directed to serve 10 days of an 11-29 sentence, perform 20 hours public service work and pay $75 plus costs and make restitution for passing a worthless check.
  • Charles B. Newby must serve the balance of his sentence for violation of probation.
  • Paul W. Shoemaker must serve the balance of his sentence for violation of probation.
  • Nicole Muncey must serve the balance of her sentence for violation of probation.
  • Scott Wilson must serve 60 days for violation of probation.
  • Joshua Blevins must serve 150 days for violation of probation.
