Galligan and Newman wins case against Sanders Construction
Recent action in the boys 9- and 10-year-old baseball league saw Galligan and Newman slip past Sanders Construction 5-4.
The Orioles picked up eight hits on the night, while the Cardinals had four. The Cardinals scored two runs in the top of the first and one in the second. The Orioles sent four runs across the plate in the bottom of the third. Sanders Construction tied the game up in the top of the fourth, but in the bottom of the inning Galligan and Newman regained the lead with one run crossing the plate. The Orioles added one more run in the bottom of the fifth to secure the win.
For the Orioles, Mitch Owens led the way with three hits. Conner Moore added two hits. Landon Scott, Dalton Taylor and Bracton Womack added one hit apiece.
For the Cardinals, Will Lupo had two hits. Eli Lance and Blathen Woodlee added one hit each.
The Custom Collision Royals defeated Phillip Carter Realty 15-1 in three innings. The Rays scored their only run in the top of the second. The Royals scored one in the bottom of the first, seven in the second and seven in the third.
For the Royals, Paxton Smith, Chandler Rockwell and Eli McCormick had one hit each. Darren Hicks had the only hit of the night for the Rays.
L&C Custom Homes rolled past D.M. Simpson and Company 22-5. The Red Sox scored seven runs in the top of the second, seven in the third and eight in the fourth. The Reds scored three runs in the bottom of the first and two in the third.
For the Red Sox, Dylan Bond, Thomas Cantrell and Harrison Wood had two hits each. Blake Brumley and Jake Pennington added one hit each.
For the Reds, Jordan Bonner, Jacob Dodd, Ethan Mikkola and Cameron Shelton had one hit apiece.
The BLC Braves slipped past the Custom Granite Cubs 1-0. The Braves scored their winning run in the bottom of the first inning.
For the Braves, Hayden Carter picked up the only hit of the night.
Sweeton Home Improvement defeated Galligan and Newman 8-2. The Tigers scored one run in the top of the first, two in the third, two in the fourth and three in the fifth. The Orioles scored one run in the first and one in the third.
For the Tigers, Sawyer Hall, Roman Johnson, Ben Sweeton and Devon Terry had one hit apiece. Conner Moore had two hits for the Orioles. Mitch Owens and Landon Scott added one hit each.
