Bonnie Lee Miller Hillis, 78

McMinnville resident and Warren County native Bonnie Lee Miller Hillis, 78, died June 26 at her home after an extended illness.
A cashier for Lentz Cee Bee Grocery and a member of Pleasant Grove Church of Christ and the VFW Ladies Auxiliary, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Hillis; parents, Worth and Dora Scott Miller; and brothers, Bill, Wesley, James, Price, Paul and Horace Miller.
She is survived by daughter and son-in-law, Elaine and Ross Rains of McMinnville; son and daughter-in-law, Danny and Dottie Hillis of McMinnville; four grandchildren and their spouses, Heather and George Newman, Dano and Misti Hillis, Alissa Rains and Kenneth Wolf, all of McMinnville, Amy and Michael Moody of Murfreesboro; great-grandchildren, Shelby Newman, Kaylee Hillis and Evan Moody; sister, Lucille Parker of Viola; caregivers, Jeannie Heath, Wilma Smartt, Vida Fann, Thelma Duncan and Donna Morris and several nieces and nephews.
Services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at High’s Chapel with Ray Weddington officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Zion Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 1 to 9 p.m. today, and 8 a.m. until time of service Saturday at High’s.
