Poss, Heard to wed July 12
The betrothed couple will exchange vows July 12 at 4 p.m. at The Venue in Cookeville.
The bride-elect is the daughter of Sharon Denise Borges of Rossville, Ga., and Douglas Lee Poss. Her grandparents are Reed and the late Verda Poss, Frances Roberts, and the late Andrew Thrower.
Mr. Heard’s parents are Samuel Heart of Hartwell, Ga., and Joyce Hughes of Rickman. He is the grandson of Gladstone and Pearl Heard, and Kathleen Roebuck and the late Robert Roebuck, all of Hartwell.
Miss Poss graduated from Warren County High School in 2002, and is a student at Tennessee Technological University majoring in business. She is employed as general manager of T-Mobile in Cookeville.
Her fianc?? is a graduate of Hart County High School, Roane State Community College and TTU, receiving a bachelor’s in sociology. He is currently working on a master’s degree in education at TTU. Mr. Heard played professional basketball in Finland in 2002, and is the assistant basketball coach at Cookeville High School, where he is a special education teacher.
