Rotary Golf Tournament
The 22 Annual Rotary Golf Tournament will be held Aug. 2 and the McMinnville Country Club. The tournament will kick off at 8:30 a.m. with a shotgun start, while registration is set to begin at 7a.m. Money raised each year goes back into the community for several local charities and to help support the morning and noon Rotary club’s high school scholarship programs. Lunch will be served after the round, with the awards ceremony to follow. The even is sponsored by the morning and noon Rotary clubs.
The cost of the charity scramble is $75 per person and you may contact Tommy Crouch at Crouch Motors or Dave Normand at the McMinnville Country Club.

WCMS Football Practice
Warren County Middle School football coach Greg Cotten will have his Pioneer squad working out at the Warren County High School starting July 7 for weight training and conditioning. The weight room will be open Monday, Tuesday and Thursday at 4p.m. Practice starts on July 21 Monday- Friday starting at 4 p.m. at the Warren County Middle School.

SSAA State Tournament
A SSAA tournament will be held at the Morrison Ruritan Field June 28-29 for Boys and girls teams. Divisions will include 10-under, 12-under, 14-under, 16-under and 19-under. All State teams will be named with awards in each division. Entry fee is $150. For more information contact Mike Mason at 931-761-5878.

Future Pioneer Basketball Camp
The WCHS boys basketball staff and players will be holding their annual Future Pioneer Basketball camp on June 23-25 in the Charlie Dalton gym at the WCHS. The camp is available for 2008-09 K-8th graders. Rising K-4th grader will be from noon-2p.m. Camp for rising 5-8 graders will be held from 8-11 a.m each day.
The camp will offer instruction in the offensive and defensive fundamentals of basketball, while offering a fun and exciting experience. Cost for the early registration is $30 or $40 the first day of camp. For more information and registration contact coach Ryan Smith at 668-5936.

Warren County Youth Soccer
The Warren County Youth Soccer league will be holding sign-ups starting June 12-13 at the Civic Center. Sign-ups will continue on June 14, and July 11-12. Cost is $40 for first child and $35 for each additional family member. Fee includes, shirt, shorts, socks , insurance and parks and recreation fee. No sign ups accepted after July 31. Stars and Stripes Fun Run
The annual July 4th Stars and Stripes 5K and Fun Run will take place on July 5th this year in downtown McMinnville. Organizers are already preparing for the big day as last years event saw a field of more than 150 total competitors. This years winner in the 5K will be award a special trophy in honor of Danny Stubblefield a long time supporter of the race. Pioneer Youth Football Sign-Ups
Sign-ups for the Pioneer Youth Football League will continue on Saturdays from 9 a.m. to noon in the locker room at Bobby Ray Elementary. Sign-ups are for ages 5-12 and the registration fee is $40. Sign-ups will continue every Saturday until July 26. For more information, please call 507-8014 or 668-2304.

McMinnville tennis camp
USPTR and WCHS tennis coach David Dunlap will be holding a tennis camp for boys and girls ages 5-18 from July 21-25 at the Civic Center tennis courts.
The camp will be divided into three age brackets: 5-8, 9-11 and 12-18. Cost of the camp is $85 with daily prizes being handed out to each camper. Your child will need to bring comfortable clothing and tennis shoes, a hat, sunscreen and bottled water. Tennis rackets are also required, but are available from Dunlap if needed. Flag Football for girls
The Warren County Pioneer Youth Football League is currently conducting a survey to determine whether there is enough interest to form an all girls flag football program. It would be for girls 8 through 15 years of age, and the sign-up cost would be around $40 to cover insurance and a jersey. The league has flyers at the front desk at the Civic Center which anyone who is interested can go by and fill out, or you may call one of the phone numbers below and leave your name, phone number, and age. There will also be representatives at the locker room behind Bobby Ray Elementary School each Saturday in May from 9 a.m. until noon to answer questions and get your information.
