Leonard Paul Hobbs, 76
McMinnville resident and Warren County native Leonard Paul Hobbs, 76, died June 21 at his home after a sudden illness.
A self-employed construction worker, he served his country in the U.S. Army in the Korean War.
He was the son of the late Paul and Bessie Graham Hobbs, and was also preceded in death by sisters Frances Crim, Emma Barks and Becky Meadows, and brother Jimmy Hobbs.
He is survived by his wife of 55 years Frankie Hobbs; son Carlton Hobbs of Morrison; grandchildren Jennifer and husband Jason Phipps of Spring Hill, Rachel and Ashley Hobbs, both of Morrison; great-grandchildren Lane and Alexis Phipps; sisters Josie Herrin, Pearl Herrin and Charlotte Bell, all of Morrison, Barbara Ann Wilson of Sherwood, and Shirley Jean Boles and Judy Turner, both of McMinnville; brother William ‘Bud’ Hobbs of McMinnville; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law Georgia and Marlin Tubb, and Jimmy and Melba Pistole; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral service is 2 p.m. Monday at High’s Chapel. Burial will follow at Mt. View Cemetery with full military honors by VFW Post 5064 and American Legion Post 173. Visitation is today from 2 to 9 p.m., and Monday from 10 a.m. till the time of the service at High’s.
