Set in Stone moves to mall storefront

If you’re looking for a one-of-a-kind business, look no further than Three Star Mall where you can find Set in Stone.

‘What I have to offer, you can’t get anywhere else in this town,’ said store owner Jeani Spitzer. ‘I’m getting visibility and people are stopping in to see what I have to offer.’

Jeani opened Set in Stone at one of the mall kiosks for the Christmas season, then decided to move to a storefront near GNC earlier this month. Since her move, she has several new items to offer.

One of the most eye-catching is her line of Perfect Pets, which are stuffed animals that actually breathe, or I should say look like they’re breathing since they don’t have lungs. ‘They really pull people into the store,’ said Jeani.

The Perfect Pets, which are dogs and cats, come with a bed, brush and adoption papers. If they’re anything like the Cabbage Patch Kids with their adoption papers, these pets will be a hit.

As for the really neat stuff, there are what Jeani calls woven monuments. These are throw rugs, wall hangings, pillows and tote bags that can be personalized with pictures of your loved ones. The rug Jeani has of her husband and son is really snazzy. And with Valentine’s Day and Mother’s Day approaching, this is one gift to keep in mind. All you need is a picture of your kids, your dog, or whatever you want on the item.

There’s also a wide variety of Rhythm Clocks which do more than keep time. They can chine six different ways and some even come with moveable faces.

As for the proverbial bread and butter of her business, and its namesake, Set in Stone uses cutting-edge laser technology to engrave images on a number of different surfaces including marble, granite, glass, acrylic and crystal.

Set in Stone can be reached by calling 212-1235.
