Sarah Bell Bratcher, 87

arah Bell Bratcher, 87, of McMinnville (Bethany community) died Wednesday, Dec. 26 at NHC Health Care.

Born on March 3, 1920 in DeKalb County, she was a homemaker and member of North Hills Drive Church of God of Prophecy. Mrs. Bratcher was preceded in death by her parents, Sam Neal and Eliza Bell Scott; husband, Jessie James Bratcher; sons, Donald Bratcher and Fred Bratcher; and brothers, Robert Scott, Alvie Scott and Edd Scott.

Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Sammie and Kathy Bratcher of McMinnville; brothers, Loyd Scott and Sammie Scott both of Murfreesboro; sisters, Martha Davenport of McMinnville, Mae Fisher of Rock Island, Opal Hankal of McMinnville, and Betty Roberts of Sparta; grandchildren Kristy and (David) Harris and Michael Bratcher all of McMinnville; great grandchildren, Mia and Ella Harris, special friend Carol Harper and many other family members and friends.

Funeral service was held Saturday in the McMinnville Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Michael Harris officiated. Interment followed at Old Bybee Chapel Cemetery in Rock Island. Online condolences may be made at www.mcminnvillefuneralhome.com.
