Main Street Web site promotes downtown

Want to know something about a downtown business? Main Street McMinnville has launched a new Web site filled with information, information and more information regarding areas to shop, play, live and invest downtown.

According to Main Street McMinnville director Chris Wilson, the new site provides ample information to anyone on places to shop, have a bite to eat, attend a concert, see what is happening, or invest in a downtown building.

Different tabs lead to different areas and all shops are listed complete with address and telephone number:

‘ Shop – In the mood for some store to store shopping? From clothing, food and collectibles to accessories, electronics and furniture, downtown has a unique array of shops.

‘ Play – Want in on the fun? Check out the opportunities. The site names numerous places to eat, browse, dance and relax.

‘ Live – Interested in loft living, or in a residence above a retail store? While browsing for a shop, check out the list of apartments and duplexes downtown. Also, listed are churches, non-profit organizations and government buildings.

‘ Invest – Find information about financial incentives, historic preservation, or find available properties. Individuals can invest by becoming a member, donating, purchasing a commemorative or by just getting involved.

Upcoming events include exciting activities that not everyone knows about. Currently on the Web site, are the Joe Harvey Band Holiday bash at Capalano’s today and a New Year’s Eve party at New York Grill from 9 p.m. to 2 a.m. on Dec. 31.

Main Street LIVE! summer concert series, a production of Main Street McMinnville, will be announced on upcoming events. The very popular program offers Friday night concerts beginning in June with a variety of free entertainment opportunities.

Visitors will also find interesting information pertaining to Main Street McMinnville’s combined effort with Google to model downtown in 3D, improvements to Main Street buildings, newest shops and recent changes.
