White Oak Crafts Fair Sept. 8-9

With over 6,000 patrons attending the fair last year, the 18th annual White Oak Crafts Fair is expected to attract record crowds on Sept. 8-9. This juried event celebrates the traditions of split white oak basketmaking and chairmaking that have earned Woodbury the title of ‘Basketmaking Capital of Appalachia.’

The fair takes place along the banks of the East Fork Stones River adjacent to the Arts Center of Cannon County and just west of Woodbury on Hwy. 70 S (John Bragg Hwy). It is free and open to the public from 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday. Supervised parking is provided with a $2 donation going to the Woodbury Lions Club.

There will be food booths to tempt the palate and quench the thirst. Indoor dining is provide by Susan Samford of The Filling Station Cafe.
