Verdie (Rose) Pease, 59

Verdie (Rose) Pease, 59, a Grundy County native and McMinnville resident, died Aug. 28 at her residence of an extended illness.

She was a homemaker and a member of the Baptist Church. Mrs. Pease is survived by husband Claude A. Pease of McMinnville; two daughters, Melissa D. Redmon and Amanda G. and husband Michael Ferrell; two sons, Brian A. Pease and Roger D. Pease of McMinnville; two sisters, Delma Meeks of Jasper, Emma and husband David Fincher of Beersheba Springs; four brothers, A.C. and wife Brenda Forsyth, Roy and Wife Nellie Forsyth, Joe Forsyth, Robert and wife Mildred Forsyth of Beersheba Springs; seven grandchildren, Joseph, Nicholas and Sarah Redmon, Nathan and Bryanna Morgan, Jeremiah Ferrell, Kathryn Pease, special friend, Marilyn Whitman, several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. She was preceded in death by parents, J.T. and Rhevena Forsyth, and brother, Roger Dale Forsyth.

Funeral services were held at Love-Cantrell-Cope Funeral Home on Thursday, with pastor Tony Vinson and pastor Ray Skyles officiating. Interment followed at Walker Cemetery in Beersheba.

Love-Cantrell & Cope Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
