Lucky-Northside FCE Club

Members of the Lucky-Northside FCE met March 22 in the Magnolia Room for their monthly meeting. President Sandra Griffith recognized members of the Lucky Homemakers to the meeting, as well as two guests.

Ila Vae Boren read for the devotional, a piece on Easter titled, ?Jesus Lives.? Roll call was answered with ?A bread I like to bake/eat is. . . ? with six members answering.

Secretary Irene Fuston read the February meeting minutes, and Francis Holcomb gave a financial report.

Linda Schlimmer and Fuston attended the county council meeting on March 12, and Griffith and Nelle roller judged the 4-H bread baking contest. Lots of upcoming events affecting the club include, A&R Day on April 12 at Midway, Griffith and Roller will be working the Bloodmobile on April 13, International Day to be April 30, with Holland being featured; FCE Bake Sale on May 18 will be held at Kroger with all proceeds going to our county scholarship fund.

Lunch was provided by members for our visiting club. Everyone had a good time and enjoyed playing cards and Bingo. Embroidered quilt tops and other items from both clubs were displayed for members to admire. Visitation is a good time for all members to catch up on what is going on in their family, life and club happenings.

The next meeting for Lucky Northside will be April 26 at Center Hill in Smithville.
