Vinsons Crossroads FCE Club

Vinsons Crossroads FCEC president Lois Self conducted the regular meeting in the Dogwood Room of the Warren Administration Building on Jan. 18. Self and Naomi Smith acted as hostesses and welcomed Cecil Taylor as a guest. Smith read ?How are you spending your 24 hours?? and ?Just for Today.? Eva Taylor led the prayer and Self offered the pledge to the flag.

Reading reports were given by Timmy Burkhalter, Wilma Davenport and Self. The special for the month is to promote membership, and the club extends an invitation to anyone interested in joining the group.

Roll call was given by Nelle Roller, and answered with ?A game I like to play is . . .? by the eight members present. Minutes from the previous meeting were read and approved. A treasurer report was given by Timmy Burkhalter.

Dean Fish and Sandra Blair worked at the Bloodmobile on Jan. 12. Plans were made for visitation month in March. Our club will be guest of the Midway ladies. Everyone is to bring something they have made to share.

Global leader training will be Jan. 23 a 10 a.m. with Eva Taylor attending. Our vice president will turn in all annual reports by Jan. 31, as well as secretary reports and scrapbooks.

The annual Grab Bag Day will be Thurs., Feb. 8 at 10 a.m. and special project leader training will be Tues., Feb. 20 at 9:30 am. Refreshments were served by t he hostesses and the club creed was read in unison.

The next meeting of the group will be held in the Magnolia Room on Feb. 15.
