Gina Cleek
Guidance counselor
School: Morrison
Years: One

To start her first year off right, Cleek sent a letter to all her colleagues which said how happy she is to be working with them and the students at Morrison.

She started dating her husband, Alan, when she was 15. They have a son, Austin, who is a senior at WCHS and a daughter, Jordan, who is a sophomore. While the family lives in Westwood, they also have a farm off Mt. Zion Road in Viola.

From her letter, Cleek told her colleagues:

?I am an animal lover with three dogs, seven cats, 20 horses (we do some rescue) and I did have a Tyson rooster that I rescued from the middle of Viola Road. I love to read, I fancy myself as a photographer (black and white portraits), and I coach high school soccer for Boyd.?

Cleek came to Morrison from South Middle School in Cowan. She has also been a high school counselor, a special education teacher, a behavior specialist, a crisis intervention specialist, and an agency counselor.

?I feel that my most important role as a school counselor is that of an advocate for the students,? said Cleek.
