Pleasant sentenced for selling cocaine
Seven people were sentenced Wednesday by Judge Bart Stanley in Circuit Court criminal division.
Included in circuit sentencings:
? Kayla Pleasant was ordered to serve eight years for sale of cocaine. She will be allowed to participate in the Warren County Drug Court program and avoid most of her prison time if she successfully completes the intensive one-year program.
? James D. Johnson was ordered to serve 270 days of a five-year sentence and was directed to get his GED, and maintain a full-time job for theft and simple possession of drugs.
? Gary Thomas was directed to serve 65 days of an 18-month sentence and pay $650 plus costs for second-offense DUI and driving on a revoked license.
? Ricky Lee White was sentenced to serve four years in the state penitentiary and pay $3,000 plus costs for fourth-offense DUI, fifth-offense driving on a revoked license and violation of habitual traffic offender status.
? Brandy Keen was instructed to serve seven days of an 11-29 sentence and pay $50 plus costs for second-offense driving on a revoked license.
? Danny Ray Martin was ordered to serve 30 days of an 11-29 sentence for violation of probation.
? Terry Henderson must serve the balance of his sentence for violation of probation.
