Joanna Panter King, 76

McMinnville resident and Warren County native Joanna Panter King, 76, was born May 25, 1929 and died Feb. 23 at Select Specialty Hospital in Nashville following an extended illness.

A former employee of Century Electric, she was the daughter of the late A.B. and Etta Clendenon Panter. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Hannah Brooke King.

She was married to Orval King of McMinnville on Sept. 6, 1949. In addition to her husband, she is survived by two daughters and a son-in-law, Sharon and Mickey Craddock of McMinnville and Lisa Craven of Florida; three sons and daughters-in-law, Lynn and Renaa King, Mark and Kathy King, and Darrell and Tina King, all of McMinnville; special granddaughter and spouse, Katrina and Bucky Hobbs of McMinnville; 13 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren; sister and brother-in-law, Bobbie and Carl Crawford of McMinnville; brother and sister-in-law, Terry and Vanessa Panter of McMinnville and stepmother, Lena Mae Panter of McMinnville.

Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. today at High?s Chapel with Danny Sullivan and Scotty Lawson officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. View Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 9 a.m. until time of service today at High?s. Online condolences may be made at www.highfuneralhome.com.
