?Girl Talk? registration deadline March 2

Your daughter is changing daily from a little girl into a young woman. There is nothing you can do to stop the progress of Mother Nature, but you can equip your daughter with the knowledge she needs for this exciting journey.

You and your daughter can learn and have fun together by attending a program called “Girl Talk,? which is designed for mothers and their daughters age 9 through 12 years old. “Girl Talk” is an educational program designed to enhance communication between moms and daughters about growing up, family values, decision making and responsibility. All of this is done through group activities, games and videos.

The “Girl Talk” classes are sponsored by the University of Tennessee Extension. Instructors for the class will be Extension Agents Hilda Lytle and Jamie Harris. The classes will be held on the first and second Monday and Tuesday nights in March from 5:30 to 7 p.m. at the Warren County Administrative Building in the Magnolia Room.

The first session will be March 6 and the remaining classes will be March 7, March 13 and March 14. Only moms will attend the first session. Moms and daughters will attend the remaining sessions together.

The class is limited to 15 mother/daughter pairs and pre-registration is required. The cost is $25 per mother/daughter. Deadline for registration is March 2. To register or for more information about “Girl Talk” call 473-8484.
