FCE Club: Vinson?s Crossroads
A devotional from John 3:16 was given by Naomi Smith. She also read ?He Loves You,? and ?Smart.? The pledge to the flag was recited by the group. Roll call was answered with, ?A favorite dessert is. . . ? Minutes from the January meeting were read by Dean Fish and were approved as presented.
An educational global report was given by Eva Taylor. The next global meeting is scheduled for March 20 at 10 a.m. Reading reports were given by Timmy Burkhalter, Naomi Smith and Wilma Davenport.
Agent Hilda Lytle gave an informative meeting concerning over-the-counter medicines. She advised to know what your are taking, to be aware of the ingredients and warnings and to respect all medicines.
The club voted to donate $25 toward prizes for the winners of the 4-H Bread Baking Contest. Naomi Smith will substitute for Lois Self at the special project leader training and Grab Bag Day will be March 9 at 10 a.m. Burkhalter and Dean Fish will work the March 10 Bloodmobile. A county council meeting will be held March 13 at 10 a.m.
The Harmony House visit scheduled for March 16 has been postponed. March is designated visitation month, and we will be hosting Lucky-Northside Club in the Magnolia Room at 11 a.m.
Members are urged to bring get well cards and birthday cards for fellow member Ruby Self.
Refreshments were served by the hostesses and the club creed was recited before adjournment.
