Middle Tennessee cruises past Louisiana-Lafayette

Middle Tennessee (10-9, 3-4 Sun Belt) scored 30 points off turnovers by Louisiana-Lafayette (5-14, 1-7).

The game was tight in the first half, which ended with Middle Tennessee ahead 25-24. The score was tied seven times and there were nine lead changes.

The Blue Raiders outscored the Cajuns by 13 in the second half, led by Vogelsberg. Tim Blue scored 14 points for Middle Tennessee, while Fats Cuyler finished with 13 and Matt Morrison had 11.

Louisiana-Lafayette had three players who scored in double digits, led by Lucian Pesoli’s 13. Maurice Barksdale and Michael Southall scored 12 apiece for the Cajuns.
