Wanda Lou Walker weds Roy Lee Adams April 15

Wanda Lou Walker and Roy Lee Adams were united in holy matrimony April 15 in a ceremony at Victory Freewill Baptist Church. The Reverend Bill Elversol officiated the ceremony.

The bride wore an ivory lace gown with a scooped neckline featuring a scalloped waist and hemline. She wore a pearl necklace and drop pearl earrings, a gift from her bridegroom. The bridal bouquet held ivory and fuchsia roses with baby’s breath and greenery.

Rodney and Richard Walker, sons of the bride, gave her hand in marriage. Her granddaughter Brittany Walker was matron of honor, with Miranda Curtis, LaShea Barkes and Kristin Simmons serving as bridesmaids.

The groom’s granddaughter Carrie Adams was the flower girl and she was escorted by her brothers, Jacob and Caleb Adams. Jonathon, Skyler, Adrian and Alex Walker were the ring bearers.

Mr. Adam’s best man was his son Bryan Adams. Allen, Rodney and Richard Walker served as groomsmen.

A musical program was provided by Michelle Hill, which included “Bless the Broken Road,” “Wedding March,” “Always,” “Keeper of the Stars,” and “When I Say I Do.”

Approximately 65 guests attended including several out-of-town guests. The reception followed the ceremony in the fellowship hall at the church. The couple honeymooned in the Smoky Mountains.
