Eira Lyle, 89

McMinnville resident and Warren County native Eira Lyle, 89, died May 15 at St. Thomas Hospital in Nashville after an extended illness.

A homemaker and a member of Locust Street Church of God, she was the daughter of Silas David and Annie Mae Durham Moore; and was preceded in death by her husband, Leascher Carlton Lyle in 1960; son, Robert Howard Lyle; grandchildren, Susan Delong and Frances Renee Judkins; brothers, Walter Preston, Eston and Otis Moore; and sisters, Elizabeth Miller and Gracie Mae Perry.

She is survived by sons and daughters-in-law, Kenneth Joe and Ruth Lyle, Jerry David and Carol Lyle, all of McMinnville; daughter and fianc?, Mary Frances Deceder and Edward Miller of Pensacola, Fla.; 10 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren, 13 great-great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.

Services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at High’s Chapel with Rev. Roland Sharp officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. View Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. today and 9 a.m. until time of service Thursday at High’s.
