Thomas Jefferson Roberts, 86
A custodian with the Warren County School System and a member of the Church of God, he served his country in the U.S. Army during World War II.
He was the son of Horthor and Lizzie Hillis Roberts; and was preceded in death by his first wife, Annie Lee King Roberts; second wife, Poinsetti Davis Roberts; brother, Carl Roberts; and sisters, Mary King, Grace Green and Emma Hicks; and daughter, Sylvia Panter.
He is survived by children and spouses, Marilyn and Gary Myers, Juanita and Billy Dixon, Willie and Charlene Roberts, Judy and Glenn Jennings of McMinnville, stepdaughter, Henreitta Burgess of Rock Island; 10 grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild, one step-granddaughter; several nieces and nephews, son-in-law, Kenneth Colwell of McMinnville.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. today at High’s Chapel with Rev. Roland Sharp officiating officiating. Burial will follow at Friendship Cemetery with military graveside rites administered by VFW Post 5064 and American Legion Post 173. Visitation begins at 10 a.m. today at High’s.
High Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
