City crews remove a section of sidewalk near the courthouse yesterday in order to create a detour from Main Street where it intersects with Court Square. Plans are for traffic to be temporarily detoured through the former sidewalk area, beginning this morning, while a subcontractor for the Main Street project begins laying water line on Main Street. General contractor site superintendent Frank Randolph said the Court Square portion intersecting with Main Street should be open again by Monday.
