Mamie N. Rigsby Hankins, 85
A former employee of Nevitt’s Market and RCA and a member of Westlake Community Church of God, she was the daughter of the late Jesse H. and Cindy Anna DeBerry Snipes; and was preceded in death by her husbands, Rev. Earl Rigsby and Irvin Hankins; sister, Margaret Snipes Elliot; and relatives Edna Snipes Markum, Daisy Snipes Simpson and Mike Snipes.
She is survived by children, Jacqueline S. Rigsby Ellis, Carolyn Hestand, Carol Julian, Larry Rigsby, Mike Hankins, Nova Forrest, James Michael Rigsby, Anita Glaze; sisters, Jessie Parsley, Grace Hartling and Florence Snipes of McMinnville.
Services were held Tuesday at Flanner & Buchanan Funeral Center in Indianapolis with Rev. Doug Talley officiating. Burial followed at West Ridge Park Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Westlake Community Church of God building fund.
