OK Heating clips Kirby in slugfest
OK Heating and Air escaped with a one-run victory over Kirby Real Estate Thursday night 17-16 in the girls 7- and 8-year-old coach pitch league at the Sam Martin Jr. field.
The two teams combined for 44 hits on the night. OK Heating sent four runs across the plate in the first inning, six runs in the second, six in the third and one in the fourth. Kirby scored four in the first, nine in the second, two in the third and one in the fourth.
For OK Heating, Lexie Wood led her team with four hits on the night. Kailyn Cantrell, Kayla Brown and Brookelynn had three hits each. Morgan McCormick, Kendra Rymer, Lacey Jones, Keana Patterson and Alicia Johnson had two hits each. For Kirby, Allison Satterfield and Rachel Nokes led with four hits each. Stacey Arnold, Savanah Darnbush and Trista Key had two hits each. Liza Harvey and LeeAnn Dodson added one hit each.
