Nashville resident and DeKalb County native Mary Frances Davis Brady, 82, died June 19 at NHC Healthcare after an extended illness.
A retired bank teller with Third National Bank in Nashville and a member of Belmont United Methodist Church, she was the daughter of Poper Potter and Era Emily Davis; and was preceded in death by her brother, Malcolm Ross Davis; sister, Robbie Vanderpool Knowles; and niece, Reva Pedigo.
She is survived by daughter and son-in-law, Marsha and Willard Dunlap of McMinnville; granddaughter and spouse, Karen and Charles Gillies of McMinnville; great-grandsons, James-Elton and Samuel Gillies of McMinnville; brother and sister-in-law, Jack P. and Frances Davis of Nashville; nieces and spouses, Joyce and Bob Badger, Loyce and Charlie Bradshaw, all of Lebanon, Sherry and Tommy Sorrells of Gallatin, Nancy and Donny Dement of Murfreesboro, Judy and Leonard Meador of Gulfport, Ms.; nephews and spouses, Ralph and Dot Vanderpool of Pulaski, Ronnie and Debbie Davis of Pelham.
Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at Whorton Springs Cemetery with Michael Hale, Robert Bowman and James-Elton Gillies officiating. Visitation will be held from 3 to 9 p.m. today and 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday at High’s. Memorials may be made to the National Kidney Foundation and American Diabetes Association.

Larry Isaac Evans, 66
McMinnville resident and Warren County native Larry Isaac Evans, 66, died June 17 at NHC Healthcare after an extended illness.
A terminal manager with Warren County Freight Line and a member of Summitville Baptist Church, he served his country in the U.S. Navy.
The son of James and Lorene West Evans, he was preceded in death by brothers, Billy and Phillip Evans and sister, Kathy Jones.
He is survived by his wife, Shirley Baker Evans; sons and daughters-in-law, Jimmy and Sheree Evans, Alan and Angie Evans, David and Missy Evans, all of McMinnville and Larry Wayne Evans of Nevada; daughter and son-in-law, Kari and Chuck Cantrell of McMinnville; grandchildren, Brandon, Jamie, Penny, Laci, Dusty, and Lucas Evans, Blake Cantrell and Baylee Fults of McMinnville; brother, Fred Evans of McMinnville; sisters, Maxine Slatton, Judy Cunningham and Diane Templeton, all of McMinnville and Brownie Pack of Indianapolis, Ind.
Services were held Saturday at High’s Chapel with Rev. Carl Smith officiating. Burial followed at Mt. View Cemetery with military graveside rites administered by VFW Post 5064 and American Legion Post 173.

Stanley E. James, 58
McMinnville resident and Palmer native Stanley E. James, 58, died June 17 at Alvin C. York Medical Center.
An Army veteran and an employee of Randall Walker Farms, he was preceded in death by his father, Gordon James; and brothers, Clarence and Tommy James.
He is survived by his mother, Agnes Banks James of Palmer; son, Stanley E. James III of Florida; daughter, Angelina James of Florida; sisters, Hallie Knight of Palmer, Margaret Ward of Augusta, Ga., Pollie Tucker of Dunlap; brothers, Marshall and Alvin James of Palmer; and one grandson.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. today at Layne Funeral Home in Palmer with Charles O. Ross officiating. Burial will follow at Browns Chapel Cemetery.
