Harold Glenn Whitlock, 77
A retired employee of General Motors and a member of the Baptist Church, he served his country in the U.S. Navy during World War II.
The son of the late Otis Monroe and Nany Lula Bond Whitlock, he was preceded in death by daughter, Sandra Lee Melton; sister, Elizabeth Houser and brother, Earl Whitlock.
He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Frances Kay (Pat) Whitlock; daughters and sons-in-law, Shirley and Lew Webb of McMinnville, Kay and Richard McKay of Phoenix, Ariz.; brother and sister-in-law, Jess and Ruby Whitlock of McMinnville; grandchildren, Kim Barrett and Lynn Williams, both of Mobile, Ala., Brian Hice of Cleveland, Ohio, Ray, Ronnie, Kim, and Gary Melton, all of Smyrna; great-grandchildren, Gary and Adrianna Melton, both of Smyrna and Timothy Ashton of Clinton, Ohio; sister-in-law, Patsy Whitlock of McMinnville; brother-in-law, Bert Houser of Knoxville; several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at McMinnville Funeral Home Chapel with John Padgett officiating. Burial will follow at Charles Creek Cemetery with military graveside rites administered by VFW Post 5064 and American Legion Post 173. Visitation will be held from 2 to 9 p.m. today and 9 a.m. until time of service Saturday at McMinnville Funeral Home.
