New dress code a reason to hate school
I’m a senior at Warren County High School, and I am absolutely disgusted with this place.
I think everyone is aware of the change in dress code this year. They claim their motive was that the clothes we are wearing are a distraction. The entire four years I have been here, I have never seen someone distracted by someone’s shirt, eyebrow ring or anything consisting of someone’s clothing. However, I have noticed many students are distracted by being called into the office because what they were wearing is against the dress code.
I myself just spent over 20 minutes of class time in the office because the hoodie I was wearing had the Punisher Skull on it. Does anyone out there find that offensive or distracting?
This is ridiculous. Before they are done, they will tell us what shoelaces to put in our shoes and what type of hair bows girls can wear in their hair. I don’t feel it’s right we get in trouble just because there is someone writing the rules who doesn’t like what I’m wearing.
And they wonder why we hate school. I would like to be able to just go to school and learn without having to worry about whether my new shirt will fit their dress code. So, what do you think the real problem is here?
Note: The Punisher Skull is a name brand symbol, bought at JCPenney.
Sincerely,
