Judge Ross hears 56-person docket

A 56-person docket was heard Tuesday by Judge Larry Ross in General Sessions Court.

Included in court action:

• Larry Capshaw was issued an 11-month, 29-day probationary sentence and must pay $750 plus costs for possession of a controlled substance. He was originally charged with tampering with evidence after he swallowed a bag allegedly containing drugs in the presence of an officer as he was being arrested.

• Christopher Moore and Michael E. Moore were bound over to the grand jury on charges of manufacture of meth, simple possession of marijuana and possession of drugs.

• Roger Hosse was ordered to serve 10 days of an 11-29 sentence for simple possession of drugs.

• Jamie Jones was bound over to the grand jury on charges of possession of drugs and manufacture of meth. The defendant must also serve the balance of former sentence for violation of probation.

• Shawn Martin was bound over to the grand jury on the charge of possession of drugs.

• Lisa Marie Thaxton was handed an 11-29 probationary sentence and must pay $1,000 and perform 32 hours public service work for possession of drugs.

• Juan Rosales was ordered to serve 10 days of an 11-29 sentence, pay $100 plus costs and attend anger management for domestic assault.

• Donnie Allen Sparkman was given an 11-29 sentence to be served at 75 percent and was fined $50 plus costs and warned not to own a handgun for domestic assault.

• Jessie S. Judkins was directed to serve 48 hours of an 11-29 sentence, pay $100 plus costs and attend anger management for domestic assault.

• Courtney Beaty was issued an 11-29 probationary sentence and must perform 16 hours public service work and attend anger management for assault.

• Sammi Hillis was bound over to the grand jury on the charge of assault.

• Zack Cowans was handed an 11-29 probationary sentence and must perform 16 hours public service work and attend anger management for assault.

• Leslie Farless was handed a six-month probationary sentence and must make restitution on two worthless checks totaling $64.

• Shala Herrin was handed a six-month probationary sentence and must make restitution for passing a worthless check for $54.

• Neil Norris was handed a six-month probationary sentence and must pay $10 plus costs for passing a worthless check for $19.

• Carrie Walters was given an 11-29 probationary sentence and must perform 16 hours public service work and make restitution for hindering secured creditors.

• Jan Michael R. Paul was fined $50 plus costs and must perform 32 hours public service work for consumption of alcohol under 21.

• Jessie Stubblefield must serve four days and pay $50 plus costs for public intoxication.

• Roger Cook was directed to serve 48 hours of an 11-29 sentence, pay $350 plus costs, attend DUI school and forfeit his driver’s license for one year for DUI.

• Carl Byford was fined $10 plus costs for public intoxication.

• Roger McElroy was given a six-month probationary sentence for leaving the scene of an accident.

• Jessica Crusinberry must serve four days for violation of probation and failure to appear in court.

• Brandon Tallent was released on time served for violation of probation.

• Joseph Michael Edge had his probation extended by six months for violation of probation.

• Josh Foster must serve the balance of his sentence for violation of probation.

• Jared Hendrixson must serve 48 hours and have his probation extended by three months for violation of probation.

Ten cases were heard by special judge B. Cooke Tuesday.

Included in court action:

• Jennifer Keith and David Redmon Jr. were bound over to the grand jury on charges of manufacture of meth and aggravated child abuse. They were charged with operating a meth lab on Wash Roberts Road, which was found in the same house where three small children were living. Officers said the house was in shambles, leading to the aggravated child neglect charges.

• Kelly Winton was bound over to the grand jury on the charge of aggravated assault.
