Warden exhibits artwork

Kimberly Warden, a student at Hickory Creek recently participated in “My Home is Tennessee,” an art exhibit featuring works by elementary school students residing in Tennessee’s rural counties. Warden is the daughter of Rob and Angel Warden.

Students from across the state were requested to create a piece of art depicting life in their town, neighborhood, or community. The exhibit was held at the Tennessee Arts Commission Gallery and Legislative Plaza in Nashville. A special reception given by the TAC was held at the former State Library in the State Capitol where legislators presented certificates to the young artists.

The works were created in various styles using different mediums. Each rural school district was allowed to submit a total of 10 pieces.
