Senior League: Woodcarver rolls
Dylan Keith and Justin Fults had three hits apiece for the winners, while Darrid Wells and Alex Mullican, who picked up the win on the mound, had two each. Brandon Hodges and Will Stern rounded out the winning effort with a hit apiece.
Brently Panter connected twice for Check Advance, with Rob Hamby and John Adam Blair notching a hit each.
• Morton’s came out on the winning end of another close game, downing Security Federal 16-13.
Jackson Ewton got the win on the hill, and was helped out by Mark Tidenberg, who had four hits. Zach Fisher and Josh Moore scored two hits each, while Jonathan Holland, Sam Pryor and Clay Parker each had one.
For Security Federal, Casey Dunn led the way with three hits, with five different batters — Clint Newman, Cory Sullivan, Brad Parker, Cody Ray and Brian Myers — each notching two base knocks.
• Porter Roofing nailed down a 16-5 win over Outdoor Shop behind a strong pitching performance from Travis Moore and a balanced offensive attack. David Colangione, Cody Adcock, Ryan Williams, Moore and Jason Johnson each had a hit in the winning effort.
Matthew Black and Kyler Boyd had two hits each for Outdoor Shop.
• First National Bank cashed in on three Casey Talbert hits to score a 14-6 win over Moore Properties, as Matt Jones and Chase Officer combined for the win on the hill. Lane McCoy, Officer, Shelton Brewer and Jones had two hits each, while Yuta Nakashima and Anthony Hurt had one apiece.
Kyle Mullican had three hits for Moore Properties, while J.R. Watson and Bobby Fults had one each.
• Tyler Keaton got the win, and helped his own cause as one of six batters who came away with hits in Woodcarver’s 9-6 victory over Outdoor Shop. Dylan Keith, Darrid Wells, Jenson Bonner, Justin Bouldin and Blake Gudger also had hits.
John Southard scored a pair of safeties for Outdoor Shop, with Matthew Black, Jon Bryant and Travis Young coming through with a hit apiece.
• Three multi-hit performances helped Cory Sullivan secure a win on the mound, as Security Federal downed Check Advance 12-4.
Daniel Savage, Brad Parker and Brian Myers had two hits each, while Clint Newman, Casey Dunn, Cody Ray and Ridge Nunley scored one apiece.
Chandler Cantrell, Brently Panter and Judvante Ramsey had a hit apiece for Check Advance.
• Lane McCoy helped his own cause with three hits, and Chase Officer had a pair as First National dropped Morton’s 17-3. Casey Talbert, Tyler Hillis, Matt Jones and Anthony Hurt had one hit each to help McCoy pick up the win on the mound.
Sam Pryor and Josh Moore each had a hit for Morton’s.
• Three Moore Properties hurlers combined to lift their squad over Porter Roofing 15-5. Alex Lanier started the game, and had three hits to help spark the offense. Bobby Fults and P.L. Prater came on in relief to keep Porter’s offense in check.
Kyle Mullican and Prater had a pair of hits each, while Fults, Matt McColloch, Tyrin Boyd, J.R. Watson and Aaron Miller scored one hit each.
Jason Johnson and Matthew Jacobs had a hit apiece for Porter Roofing.
