Brothers: Central Ladies Day speaker

“The Heart of a Servant” is the theme being emphasized by Cindy Brothers, keynote speaker for the 25th annual Ladies Day at Central Church of Christ.

The program and complimentary luncheon will be held June 1 with registration beginning at 9:30 a.m. and meal at 11:45 a.m. A nursery will be available with activities provided for young children.

Brothers husband Kirk has been minister at Central for the past two years. They have been married 14 years and are the parents of two daughters, Katie, 9, and Hannah, 5.

She attended Moore County High School and graduated in 1987 from David Lipscomb College where she majored in fashion merchandising with a minor in business. She was employed as an engineer for a uniform company.

Brothers worked with a support group for special needs children, tutored in an adult education program, taught Bible classes, organized children’s programs and continues involvement with Ladies Day programs. She maintains Central’s web site www.churchchatcentral.org and recently wrote and published an article review for Christian Woman Magazine.

One of the highlights of her life was the 1994 mission trip to Donetsk, Ukraine where she taught ladies Bible classes.

She enjoys spending time with her family, reading and working with computers. She also runs a home-based drapery business.
