Surprise party marks Stacy’s 90th birthday

Wavie Stacy celebrated the occasion of her 90th birthday during a surprise party taking place April 27 at Fairview Community Center. Hosts for the event were her daughter, Jewell Standifer of Oakton, Va., and son, Frank Stacy of McMinnville.

The honoree’s son-in-law, Franklin Standifer of Oakton, presented her 90 roses of various hues.

Grandson Ricky Stacy and his wife, Faye, of Winchester surprised Mrs. Stacy with a magician, Dan Murphy, who entertained the 90-plus guests prior to the serving of dinner.

Joining in the festivities were family, friends and neighbors.
