Cash prizes totaling $300 will be awarded to the lucky winners. The scavenger hunt began Monday and ends May 28, which gives participants two full weeks.
The scavenger hunt asks participants to correctly identify 10 downtown buildings on a quiz sheet. All correct entries will be included in a random drawing and the winners will be announced by June 10.
“This has proven to be a very popular contest for the past two years and we had hundreds of entries last year,” said Main Street Director Dan Gray. “People of all ages enjoy walking through the downtown historic district looking for clues and enjoying the atmosphere. The best part is they can also win cash prizes if they are lucky enough to win the drawing.”
Quiz sheets will be available at all downtown banks, the post office, Chamber of Commerce, McMinnville Electric System and at any downtown store where you see a poster announcing the contest.
There will be drop-off boxes to return completed quiz sheets at Cumberland Bank, AmSouth, Union Planters, First National Bank, Security Federal, McMinnville Electric System, the downtown post office, the Chamber of Commerce and Magness Library. Entries can also be mailed to P.O. Box 373.
