Warren County Middle wins three of four

In the first game Brooks Majors took the mound for the Pioneers giving up five hits, three walks and striking out five. At the plate, Majors, Jevon Ramsey and Joshua Bratcher went 2-for-4. Colby Killian and Jacob Bratcher went 2-for-3 and Joshua Paz was 1-for-2.
In the second game the Pioneers used three pitchers — Joshua Bratcher, Jordan Underhill and Michael Jones — who combined for four strike outs and ten walks. Bratcher gave up two runs, Underhill one and Jones two. WCMS managed four hits in the game. Majors and Ramsey went 1-for-3, Bratcher 1-for-2 and Coty Grissom was 1-for-1.
Friday WCMS played a doubleheader against Murfreesboro Siegel at Patrick Ramsey Park, winning the first game 6-0 and the second game 8-4.
In the first game Joshua Paz pitched a four-hit game for the Pioneers with four strikeouts and four walks. Siegel got one hit in the first, two in the fourth and one in the sixth.
WCMS got its first hit and run of the day in the third, then added three hits and two runs in the fourth, one hit and two runs in the fifth and one run in the sixth. Joshua Bratcher, Colby Killian and Paz went 1-for-3 and Steven Ehrhardt was perfect from the plate going 2-for-2.
In the second game the Pioneers pounded out 13 hits to give Coty Grissom the win. Grissom worked three innings, giving up four hits and two runs. Siegel collected one hit in the first, three hits and two runs in the third, one hit and two runs in the fifth and one hit in the seventh.
The Pioneers struck for two hits and one run in the first, three hits and two runs in the second, four hits and four runs in the third and two hits and one run in the fourth. The Pioneers had only two errors in the game while Siegel committed five errors on the day.
For the Pioneers, Underhill and Benjamin Dunn went 2-for-3, Killian went 2-for-2, Jacob Bratcher 1-for-1, Ehrhardt and Chase Basham went 1-for-3, Joshua Bratcher, Majors, Nick Williams and Grissom were all 1-for-2.
The Pioneers will play Smyrna on the road Thursday at 5 p.m.
