Earl J. Madewell, 87
A retired factory worker and member of the Moose Lodge and Spencer Church of Christ, he was the son of the late William Revedy and Dora Ann Haston Madewell; and was preceded in death by son-in-law, Stanley Anderson; brother, Bryan Lawrence and sister, Mamie Witt.
He is survived by his wife, Janie Lee Shockley Madewell; children and their spouses, Carson and Evelyn Madewell of Chattanooga, Pat Anderson of McMinnville, Ann and Wayne Hale of Spencer; grandchildren, Tony, Amy, Jackie, Finis, Christy and Carity; and 11 great-grandchildren.
Services will be held at 1 p.m. today at Love-Cantrell & Cope Funeral Home Spencer Chapel with Gene Brock and Jim Madewell officiating. Burial will follow at Long Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 8 a.m. until time of service today at the Spencer Chapel.
