McBride’s squeaks past Dependable Brakes
Tuesday night in the boys 7-8-year-old coach pitch league, McBride’s Window Cleaning escaped with a one-run win over Dependable Brakes 11-10.
McBride’s sent five runs across the plate in the first inning, one in the second and five runs in the sixth. Dependable Brakes scored one run in the first, five in the second, two in the third and two in the fourth.
For McBride’s, Hunter Mullican led the way with three hits. Alex Cripps, Jerrick Gunter, Cory Harrell, Tyrus Keel, Phoenix Ledbetter and Steven Weber had two hits each and Gavin Scruggs added on hit.
For Dependable Brakes, Glen Llewellyn had three hits, Hunter Grandy, Lance Kelley, Merek McColloch, Blake Pennington, Tristan Reish and Nicholas Tilton had two hits each. Nicholas Simmons and Salem Wanamaker had one hit each.
• Thursday night, NHC defeated ABC Ice 9-5 in six innings. NHC scored eight runs in the first inning and one run in the second. ABC Ice score two in the first, one in the second and two in the fifth.
For NHC, Jordan Hillis, Alex Sullivan and Dylan Young had three hits each. Trevor Young, Dwight Woodlee and Justin Savage had two hits each. Lake Hillis, Nathan Jacobs and Tyler Patterson had one hit each.
For ABC Ice, Colin Stubblefield and Elijah Holder collected three hits each. Blake Dugan and Hunter Gudet added two hits each, while Lee Carden, Chase Hollingsworth and Lucas Young had one hit each.
• In Thursday’s other game, Custom Tool and Die blanked Quality Mold 15-0 in five innings. Custom scored three runs in the first, six runs in the second, one in the third and five in the fourth inning.
For Custom, Logan Underhill, Collin Smedley, Griffin Jones and Jake Driver had three hits each. Austin Spurling had two hits, Ryan Diamond, Addison Farr, Brock Majors and Dylan Tubb had one hit each.
For Quality Mold, Dusty Ledbetter and Tyler Judge had two hits each. Eric Adamson, Jordan Chadwell, Chase Frye, Wesley Parkhurst and Tristan Smith had one hit each.
