County girls hoop it up at Eades’ annual camp

Head coach Ann Eades and the Lady Pioneer coaching staff along with the help of the Lady Pioneer basketball team instructed the campers on the basic fundamentals of the game. Each day the campers went through individual drills and team competition.
“We had a good turnout, and I thought a pretty good camp,” Eades said. “We try to work on the basics, and have fun at the same time. And down the road, hopefully some of these girls will stick with it and be able to help our program.”
At the end of each day’s instruction names of campers were drawn for a chance to win $5 by making shots at different points on the court.
A four-on-four competition ended the week’s events with the team of Kimberly Warden, Taylor Yott, Sarah Jacobs and Casi Lupo winning the junior division and the team of Ashlee Malone, Taylor Hennessee, Megan Crowe and Shelby Knowles won the senior division. Before the camp ended on Thursday each camper received a Lady Pioneer Basketball camp T-shirt.
