Obituary Report for February 25, 2004
Rock Island resident and White County native Estell Raymond McGuire Bouldin, 65, died Feb. 24 at River Park Hospital after an extended illness.
A homemaker and a member of Rolling Acres Brethren in Christ Church, she was the daughter of Robert and Estell Cope McGuire.
She is survived by her husband, Amasa Berne Bouldin; son and daughter-in-law, Robert and Angela Bouldin of Rock Island; grandchildren, Abby, Jacob, Emily and Joshua Bouldin; brothers, Robert Junior McGuire of Rickman and Powell (Bud) McGuire of Spencer; sister, Mattie Lee McGuire; several nieces and nephews.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at High’s Chapel with Ralph Tucker officiating. Burial will follow at Gardens of Memory. Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. today and 8 a.m. until time of service Thursday at High’s.
High Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Dorothy Mae Carr, 64
McMinnville resident and Warren County native Dorothy Mae Carr, 64, died Feb. 22 at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville after an extended illness.
A homemaker and a member of East End Drive Church of Christ, she was the daughter of Sarah Francis Brown of McMinnville and the late Ned Samuel King.
She is survived by her husband, Morris C. Carr; daughter and son-in-law, Peggy and Johnny Lyons of Woodbury; sons and daughters-in-law, Charles and Ruby Sadler of Centertown, Dewayne and Nedra Carr of McMinnville; grandchildren, Keshia Curry, Sonia and Johnny Lyons Jr.; great-grandchildren, Jada and Alexah Lyons; brothers, Ned King Jr. Willie Bob King and Jerry King, all of McMinnville, and James Robert King of Shelbyville; sisters, Betty Sue Goodrich of Tullahoma, Mary Ann Johnson of Cleveland and Martha Herkley of Chattanooga; and numerous friends.
Services will be held at noon Thursday at High’s Chapel with Myron Dobson officiating. Burial will follow at Brown’s Chapel Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. until time of service Thursday at High’s.

Paul Dwaine Rigsby, 32
Spencer resident and Warren County native Paul Dwaine Rigsby, 32, died Feb. 20 at River Park Hospital.
A Carrier employee, a member of the plant union and Free Will Baptist Church, he was the son of Roscoe Rigsby of Smithville and the late Betty Rogers Rigsby, who preceded him in death in 1998.
He is survived by his wife, Sharon Danneail Lewis Rigsby of Spencer; daughter, Amelia Jean Rigsby of Spencer; stepmother, Marie Rigsby of Smithville; sisters and brothers-in-law, Diana and Ernest Burdett of Spencer, Deborah and Tim Wanamaker of McMinnville; brother and sister-in-law, Bruce and Peggy of Spencer; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. today at Love-Cantrell & Cope Funeral Home Spencer Chapel with Dennis Deweese and Ricky Rigsby officiating. Burial will follow at Long Cemetery in Van Buren County. Visitation will be held until time of service today at the Spencer Chapel.

Tansey Kay Talbert, 17
McMinnville resident and DeKalb County native Tansey Kay Talbert, 17, died Feb. 22 at Erlanger Medical Center in Chattanooga from injuries sustained in an automobile accident.
A student and an employee of Burger King and a member of Faith Full Gospel Church, she is survived by paternal grandparents, Wayne and Joyce Talbert of McMinnville; father and stepmother, Ricky and Carla Talbert of Morrison; mother and stepfather, Pansey and David Kilgore of McMinnville; sister, Dava Kilgore of McMinnville; brother, Kurt Kilgore of McMinnville; stepbrothers, Craig and Jonathan Sweeton of Morrison; maternal grandfather, Howard McCormick of Centertown; step-grandmother, Brenda Walker of Smithville; step-grandparents, Carl and Jimmie Hulett of Morrison; uncles, David and Tony Talbert, and Johnny McCormick; aunts, Joyce King, Dana Caldwell, Marilyn Myers; several cousins; and special friends, Josh Jacobs and Candice Brown. She was preceded in death by maternal grandmother, Lois McCormick.
Services were held Tuesday at High’s Chapel with Kenny McNatt officiating. Burial followed at Shellsford Cemetery.

Marie Jett, 77
Columbia resident Marie Jett, 77, died Feb. 16 in Columbia.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Milton W. Jett. She is survived by daughter and son-in-law, Nancy and Clifford Shelton; daughters and sons, Sue Lara, Ray Jett, Ronnie Jett, Linda Jett and Janice Cantrell; grandchildren, Jeff Sellers, Carrie Smith, Stace Shelton, Russell Shelton, Robin Guzman, Kyle Estes, Cody Miles, Jason Miles, Justin Cantrell, Jeremy, Bryan, Chris, David, Elizabeth, Houston, Dusty, Josh, Marcey and Jay Jett; and 18 great-grandchildren.
Services were held Feb. 20 at Willams Funeral Home in Columbia.
