Elementary softball tourney set for Monday

The county’s elementary school softball teams will crown a boys and girls champion Monday, at the season-ending tournament at the Morrison Ruritan Park.

In girls’ play, Centertown finished the season as the No. 1 seed, and will take on the winner of an opening-round game between Dibrell and Irving College. The other semifinal pits Eastside against Morrison.

Morrison’s boys earned a bye into the semifinals, and will meet the winner between Centertown and Irving College. In the other semi, Dibrell faces Eastside.

Monday’s tournament begins at 9 a.m.
