Smithville Church of God sets Easter musical

An inspiring Easter musical drama will be presented for the 10th year at the Smithville Church of God located on Highway 70 West in Smithville. Attendance last year exceeded 1,900.

This year’s presentation is entitled “A Man Called Jesus.” The musical drama consists of numerous musical selections and portrays many scenes of the life and last days of Jesus on earth.

“The cast for “A Man Called Jesus” numbers approximately 160,” said Donnie D. Kelly, pastor. “Each year we endeavor to make the presentation better by adding new scenes and songs.”

A special night for those who are physically impaired is planned for March 27 at 7 p.m. The musical will be repeated March 29 and 30 at 7 p.m. with the last performance scheduled Easter Sunday, March 31 at 10:30 a.m. There is no admission charge.
