Douglas Newby, 57

Centertown resident and Warren County native Douglas Newby, 57, died May 24 at his home.

A welder and mechanic and a member of the Methodist Church, he was preceded in death by his father, William Harris Newby.

He is survived by his mother, Lorene Newby of Centertown; son, Jason Newby of McMinnville; sisters, Jeri Willene Thomison and Joyce Fults of Manchester; sister and brother-in-law, Eva Faye and Paul Nunley of Rock Island; brother and sister-in-law, Wendell and Rhonda Newby of McMinnville; several aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces and three grandchildren.

Services will be held at 1 p.m. today at McMinnville Funeral Home Chapel with Phil Tollett officiating. Burial will follow at Centertown Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until time of service today at McMinnville Funeral Home.
