Barr’s takes down General Equipment
In the 7- and 8-year-old boys coach pitch league last week Barr’s downed General Equipment 17-6 in five innings. Barr’s jumped out to a 10 -0 lead after scoring four runs in the bottom of the first and six in the second.
General Equipment sent one run to the plate in the top of the third and scored five runs in the fifth. In the bottom of the third Barr’s put seven more runs on the board to secure the victory.
For Barr’s, Alexander Ellis, James Greene, Andrew Palmer and Brent Williamson led the way with three hits apiece. Cole Estes, Lucas Evans, Jordan McMillen and Alex Jones had two hits each, with Jones sending one over the fence for a homerun. Keaton Bond and Brent Williamson added one hit each.
For General Equipment, Ethan Fann, Alexander Thompson and Baylee West had two hits each. Brant Chilcutt, Garrett Gilliam, Taylor Madewell, James Ramsey and Cameron Stepp added one hit each.
Pine Hill Plastics and A&K Termite combined for 46 hits as Pine Hill escaped with a 18-17 win.
Pine Hill scored five runs in the top of the first, one in the second, three in the third, three in the fourth and six in the sixth. A&K sent four runs to the plate in the second, four in the third, six in the fifth and three in the sixth.
For Pine Hill Plastics, Ethan Cowan, Trayton Rackley, Colton Smith and Ethan Smith led the way with three hits each. Eli Eldridge, Noah Fann, Walker Kelsey, Austin Miller and Sloan Seymour had two hits apiece. Blake Driver and Luke Hoover had one hit each.
For A&K Termite, Chandler Hobbs, Tyler Hollingsworth, Christian Locke, Jaden Pyburn, Samuel Vandagriff and Dylan Ward had three hits apiece. Keaton Welch added two hits. Gaines Mayfield and Brent Turner had one hit each.
A&K took on ABC Ice in the next game downing ABC 31-6. A&K scored nine runs in the top of the first, seven in the second, seven in the third and eight in the fourth.
For A&K, Chandler Hobbs, Tyler Hollingsworth, Christian Locke, Jaden Pyburn, Samuel Vandagriff and Keaton Welch had four hits each. Gaines Mayfield and Damian Redmon had three hits each. Dylan Ward added two hits and Jackson Powers had one hit.
For ABC Ice, Caleb Newby and Jonathan Herron had two hits each. Parker Dixon had one hit.
