Hazardous waste collection day is Saturday

It’s time to dig up those old cans of paint and household cleaner. Warren County’s household hazardous waste collection day is this Saturday at Three Star Mall from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Clean Harbors Environmental Services will be present to accept your oil-based paint, pesticides, household cleaners, aerosols, rechargeable batteries, pool chemicals, used automotive fluids, etc.

Radioactives, explosives, medical wastes or waste generated from a business will not be accepted. Pack your vehicle carefully to prevent spills. For your safety, you should stay in your car while Clean Harbors employees unload your household hazardous wastes.

Event organizers say this is a great opportunity to safeguard your home from potentially dangerous chemicals while protecting the environment.
