Kirby, Walker pick up wins
Action last week in the girls 7- and 8-year-old girls coach-pitch league saw Kirby Real Estate roll past TMF 24-14 in five innings.
TMF scored four runs in the top of the first, but Kirby answered with seven runs in the bottom of the inning. Kirby went on to score four runs in the second, nine in the third and four in the fifth, while TMF put two more runs on the board in the third, six in the fourth and two in the fifth.
For Kirby Real Estate, Isabel Kirby, Lorren Cannon, Liza Harvey and Alexis Walker had four hits each. Macayla Ferrell, Trista Key, and Karagan Turner had three hits each. Becca Partain and Keyonna Boyd had two hits each and Madison Ferrell had one hit. For TMF, Mikayla Allphin and Emily Bouldin had three hits each. Maddi Taylor, Taylor Knight, Brittany Myers, Keely Jacobs, Victoria England, Jordin Milanovich, Candace Moore and Anna Womack had two hits each and Bailey Martin had one hit.
Walker Sod Farm defeated U.S. Equipment 26-21. Walker Sod put seven runs on the board in the first, six in the second, four in the third, six in the fourth and three in the fifth. U.S. scored six in the second, seven in the third and fourth and one in the fifth.
For Walker Sod Farms, Lexie Saylors, Kaylee Hillis, and Ericka Turner had five hits each. Lindsey Cox, Brittany McKinley and Seirra Brown had four hits each. Livia Walker and Alyssa Ledbetter had three hits each and Julian Sullivan had two hits each.
Haley McColloch, Madison Taylor and Abby Clark had four hits each to lead U.S. Equipment. Breanna Forth, Shelbie McCormack, Brooke Murphy, Morgan Price and Rylee Hilliard had three hits each. Ashlee Martin and Hailey Taylor had two hits each.
