Regular season ends for 7-8 coach pitch league

Three games were on tap in the 7-8 coach pitch league Friday night at the Sam Martin field. In the first game NHC slipped past Hoover and Son 16-11. NHC pounded out 20 hits, while Hoover had 16.

NHC had a big first inning with seven runs crossing the plate. They added one run in the second, one run in the third and seven more in the fourth. Hoover scored two runs in the first, one in the second, three in the third, three in the fourth and two in the fifth.

Jordan Hillis led NHC with four hits and Trevor Young picked up three hits. Cody Eldridge, Dustin Hale, Dwight Woodlee, Zach Lorentzen and David Jaco had two hits each. Will Lupo, Nick Stern and Martin Grissom added on hit each. For Hoover and Son, Jonathan Walker and Drew Roberts had three hits each. Tucker Garrison, Ezra Dixson, Will Basham and Jesse Tanner had two hits each. Zachary Williams and Garrett Jones added one hit each.

In the second game, Dependable Brakes stopped L&C Construction 19-6 in four innings. Dependable Brakes collected 27 hits, with Travis Smartt leading the way with four. Merek McColloch, Nicholas Tilton, Holden Carter, Tristan Reish, Hayden Carter and Austin Cardin had three hits each. Logan Bodnar and J.C. Dryden had two hits each and Nate Grandy added one hit. For L&C, Christian Wilkinson had three hits, Micah Martin had two hits, Alex Cripps, Thomas Cantrell, Dylan George and Christopher Rambo added one hit each.

Dependable scored six runs in the first, second and fourth innings and one in the third. L&C sent one run across the plate in the first, one in the second, three in the third and one in the fourth.

In the final game of the night ABC Ice rolled past the Warren County Warriors 20-4. ABC scored two runs in the first, one in the second, four in the third, five in the fourth and eight in the fifth. The Warriors got two runs in the first and two in the second inning.

For the Warriors, Holden Baker, Jett Urtubees, Rayce Brewer and Ethan Bandy had two hits each. Logan Mize and Matt Keeler added one hit each. ABC Ice was led by Carlos Villegas and Elijah Holder with four hits each. T. Hollingsworth had three hits, Will Sweeton, Elijah Gilbert and Lucas Young added two hits each. Regan Prater, Abdias Garcia, Enrique Villegas, Jack Sherill and Christian Cleland had one hit each.
