Grubbs brings home six championships

“Hats off” to local karate champion Michael Grubbs, who brought home three first-place awards from not just one, but from the last two tournaments he attended.

Grubbs’ first triple crown performance came in Iuka, Miss., where he won first place in karate fighting, karate forms and martial arts weapons competition. The tournament featured competitors from across the midwest, as well as the south.

Last week, Grubbs got it done again, winning in fighting, forms and weapons in Louisville, Ky. at another regional touranment.
