Frye shows his power in coach-pitch league

Frye, who plays for Quality Mold in the 7- and 8-year-old boys’ coach-pitch league, belted two home runs over the outfield fence, and just missed a third round-tripper during his team’s 22-11 win over the Warren County Warriors Tuesday night.
Knocking in three runs with his shot in the first inning, which capped a six-run frame for the winning team, Frye came back up in the third, belting a grand slam to help his team take a 19-2 lead on the way to the 11-run victory.
Frye and Tyler Judge each finished 4-for-4, while Dusty Ledbetter, Wesley Parkhurst, Gavin Laxson, Eric Adamson and Cameron Shelton had three hits each. One of Ledbetter’s hits was also a home run. Aaron Justice, Joshua Clark, Bailey Moore and Braydon Lewis had two hits apiece.
For the Warriors, Holden Baker and Cade Carlson had three hits each, while Ethan Bandy, Logan Mize and Jett Urtubees had two apiece.

NHC 10, ABC Ice 9
NHC came back with two runs in the bottom of the fifth to take a come-from-behind victory.
Nick Stern and John Haley had three hits each for the winning squad, while Jordan Hillis, Trevor Young and Dwight Woodlee had two hits each.
Chase Hollingsworth and Christian Cleland notched three hits apiece for ABC Ice, which got two hits from Abdias Garcia, Lucas Young and Elijah Gilbert.
Custom Tool & Die 24, Barr’s 3
Dylan Tubb, Collin Smedley and Griffon Jones all went 4-for-4 for Custom, while Brock Majors, Brock Watson, Ryan Diamond and Austin Spurling had three hits each. Dylan Bond and Kate Burnett each recorded two base knocks.
Barr’s got two hits each from Trace Taylor, Darius Wright, Anthony Palmer and Joseph Webb.
Dependable Brakes 8, Quality Mold 7
Dependable Brakes of Tennessee held on for a one-run victory, despite two Quality Mold runs in the top of the fifth and final inning.
Nate Grandey, Merek McColloch, Nicholas Tilton and Tristan Reish all had two hits for Dependable, which plated five runs in the third. McColloch and Tilton each recorded a double.
Dusty Ledbetter had a double and finished 3-for-3 for Quality Mold, while Wesley Parkhurst also had three hits, including a triple. Bailey Moore finished 2-for-2.
BLC 21, L&C Construction 20
Ben Lomand Communication held on to win a 41-run slugfest, and got 5-for-5 performances from Skylar Thomas and Lucas Estes. Jaben Bouldin doubled and tripled, and went 4-or-4, while Zachery Estes and Briar Ward both had four-hit games. Mitch Owens and Roman Johnson had three hits each, while Corey Richardson Jr. and Ethan Mikkola had two apiece.
L&C’s top three batters — Christian Wilkinson, Thomas Cantrell III and Micah Martin — all went 4-for-4, with Martin belting a home run. Dylan George, Garrett Bond, Christopher Rambo and Alex Cripps had three hits each, with George hitting two doubles. Gavin Scruggs and Ryan Mellons had two hits apiece.
Custom Tool & Die 22, BLC 2
Dylan Tubb, Brock Majors, Collin Smedley, Griffin Jones and Dylan Bond all went a perfect 4-for-4, while Kade Burnett was 3-for-3 in the winning effort. Brock Watson, Austin Spurling and Daniel McGee had two hits each.
Ben Lomand got two hits from Lucas Estes, Jaben Bouldin and Zachery Estes.
Dependable Brakes 16, Warren Co. Warriors 3
Dependable Brakes pounded out 19 hits, including three each from Nate Grandey, Merek McColloch and Tristan Reish, while Nicholas Tilton, Logan Bodnar, J.C. Dryden and Austin Cardin had two each.
No Warrior batter had more than one base hit. Ethan Bandy, Holden Baker, Cade Carlson, Logan Mize, Jett Urtubees and Max Gallagher all had a hit each.
Quality Mold 25, NHC 11
Chayse Frye finished 4-for-4 with a double and a triple, and was one of four Quality Mold players to have a 4-for-4 game as Dusty Ledbetter, Wesley Parkhurst and Tyler Judge also went perfect at the plate. Eric Adamson was a perfect 3-for-3, while Gavin Laxson, Aaron Justice, Joshua Clark and Braydon Lewis had two hits each.
NHC got three hits from Jordan Hillis and Dwight Woodlee, while Trevor Young, Cody Eldridge, Martin Grissom, John Haley and Will Lupo had two hits apiece.
Barr’s 17, Hoover & Son 10
Barr’s used a six-run first inning, and five hits each from Trace Taylor, Darius Wright and Jake Pennington, to down Hoover and Son Insurance. Zech Clark and Joseph Webb had three hits apiece, while Matthew Savage, Ben Roller, Sean Staford and Nicholas Pedigo had two each.
Hoover and Son got four hits from Exra Dixson, three each from Reed Garrison, Drew Roberts and Garrett Jones, and two apiece from Will Basham and Jonathan Walker.
ABC Ice 19, Stewart’s Farms 9
ABC Ice pounded out 27 hits, including four apiece from Chase Hollingsworth, Elijah Holder and Carlos Villegas, as they downed Stewart’s Farms and Stables in three innings.
Will Sweeton, Lucas Young and Jack Sherrill notched three hits each, while Christian Cleland and Enrique Villegas both had two.
Stewart’s got two hits each from Bradley Stewart, Grant Walker, Jack Davidson and Samuel Pack.
