Geraldine League Martin, 74
A homemaker and a member of West Riverside Church of God of Prophecy, she was the daughter of Olen and Willie B. Martin League; and was preceded in death in 1973 by her husband, Vancie Ray Martin Sr.; son, Robert Martin; and brothers, Paul Howard, Harvey and Olen League Jr.; and sisters-in-law, Johnnie Lee and Hattie West.
She is survived by children and their spouses, Carolyn Martin, Vancie Ray Martin Jr., and Donna Martin, all of McMinnville, Linda and Lloyd Cunningham of Richmond, Calif., and Jerry Martin of Beesville, Texas; six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; brother and sister-in-law, Michael and Munice Harris of McMinnville; sisters-in-law, Martha League of Detroit, Bertha Blackman of Charlotte, N.C. and Josephine Martin of McMinnville; and host of nieces, nephews and friends; special friends, Teresa Smith, Georgia Lusk, Martha Jane Womack and Brenda Camerson; and godson, C.J. Lusk of McMinnville.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. today at High’s Chapel with Shirlene Campbell, Rev. Everton Campbell, Bishops Waleed Ajamu and Timothy Scotton, and Pastors Michael Harris and Lloyd Cunningham officiating. Burial will follow at Bethlehem Cemetery at Martin Charge.
