Robert Murlis Wright, 78

McMinnville resident and White County native Robert Murlis Wright, 78, died Nov. 26 at his home after an extended illness.

A retired employee of Avalon Dairies, a White County farmer, a member of the First Baptist Church, and a singer for 20 years with the Galileans and the Peacemakers, he was the son of the late Robert R. and Vira McPeak Wright.

He is survived by his wife, Bessie Wright; children and their spouses, Janet Garrett of Smyrna, Kenneth and Lisa Wright of Lebanon, Debra and Gary George of McMinnville; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Services will be held at 1 p.m. today at Love-Cantrell & Cope Funeral Home Chapel with Joe Wright and Fred Bueto officiating. Visitation will be held from 8 a.m. until time of service today at Love-Cantrell & Cope. Memorial donations may be made to the Hospice, and First Baptist Church Love Outreach.
